Rathborne Sports Day – Volunteers needed

Volunteers needed!!!! Rathborne Community Association in conjunction with Sports Services at Dublin City Council are holding a sports day in Crescent Park on 22 June – many activities are being organised. Each activity will have an expert at that station but volunteers are needed to assist the staff. Hope to see everyone on the day. Spread the word to family, friends and neighbours!! Posters will be going up soon.

Update on cemetery at Scribblestown

Versonwood Ltd the company applying for planning permission to build a cemetery at Scribblestown have withdrawn their application.The application was withdrawn on the 9th May 2013.

Bin at the bus terminus on the River Road

Thanks to the Rathborne Community commitee members involved in getting a bin at the bus terminus on the River Road. This was long overdue and much needed – hopefully this will keep the area clean and tidy after all the hard work on our Community Cleanup Day.

Planning application for a cemetery at Priorstown House, Scribblestown

A planning application for a cemetery at Priorstown House, Scribblestown, was lodged with Fingal County Council last month. The application proposes changing the use of residential premises to cemetery, demolishing an existing outbuilding and creating a new caretaker’s living facilities. Alterations were proposed to an existing outbuilding to create a crematorium and the proposal includes a car park for 114 vehicles, overflow parking and seven parking spaces for staff. Permission for a cemetery with 3,840 plots on the same site was previously refused in 2010, partly on the grounds that the “development would be visually obtrusive and seriously injure the amenities of the area”.

Draft Local Area Plan (LAP) – Public Consultation Meeting

These are taking place on 16th and 23rd May from 4.00 – 7.00 in the Community Room, River Centre, Ashtown (beside Spar). We urge residents to attend to ensure that all observations from residents are heard.

Details received from event managers for Phoenix Park Concerts

 

Festival Republic wishes to inform you that we will be submitting an event application on behalf of MCD Productions for a concert to be held in Phoenix Park on 10th July, 2013. This date will replace the 9th and 11th July, 2013 which were previously applied for on the application lodged on 8th March. There will still only be 3 concerts proposed for the Phoenix Park, but the revised dates will be 10th, 13th and 14th July, 2013.
